America-based women's clothier Alyx started in California in 2015 and has risen to renown in fashion circles on the global scale. Founded by Been Trill co-founder Matthew Williams, the ready-to-wear styles have already been the root of collaborations with Fragment and are now the focus of a six-piece footwear collection from Vault by Vans.
We are treated to two of each style in the OG Authentic, OG Style 36, and OG Sk8 Hi LX silos. For the Authentics, we get simple colorways with natural white and black canvas uppers. The foxing tape features a throwback printed Alyx logo that is reminiscent of the ultra-classic Rad Authentics we are dying to get back.
The OG Style 36 LX arrive in similar colorways with natural white/true white leather and canvas uppers on one hand and black/true white on the other. Both pairs have contrasting stitching, pink laces, and pink flag tag. Additionally, they will feature a steel clip-eyelet on the second lacehole. A small, almost missed design feature of the shoe are the "CHAOS" printings on the heel counters. A nice touch to an already good looking shoe.
For the OG Sk8 Hi LX, we get black leather and canvas uppers sitting on your choice of the classic white or all black midsoles. Contrasting stitching, pink (and silver) laces and flag tag, and the same steel eyelet and "CHAOS" printing are also features on the Sk8 Hi. Additionally, we are treated to vintage-style Off the Wall embossed leather tongue labels in matching pink and silver hues.
The Vault by Vans x Alyx are available now, exclusively from Opening Ceremony during a pre-release event. Prices begin at $120 and end at $195. Keep an eye out for these to arrive at your local Vault stockist in the future.
