Vans Japan released a slew of imagery today which show most of us what we will be missing out in in the coming months. There is a whole lot to take in from the digital lookbook, but here are just a few highlights we pulled.
Vans JP and Rollicking continue their years-long relationship by teaming up on at least a couple new Slip On JP's with satin uppers and classic Japanese imagery embroidered on the vamps.
The BILLY'S x Vans Era JP "Half Moon" seems to be making it's way back as well. We aren't sure if these are more of a GR model or another BILLY's exclusive, but either way, these will sell out lightning fast again.
Another collection coming this season is a denim and canvas option of the Slip On and Old Skool JP which are done up in traditional Japanese floral designs and knotwork.
Here's one that leaves us scratching our heads. There's no guessing what this model was inspired by. Vans JP is calling them the Fable2 but we are using Van Smiths. Too easy.
We also got to see the next wave of 50th Anniversary Pro Classics we should expect to see in the next few months. We heard it through the grapevine that the harlequin style Era and Sk8 Hi were designed by SVD himself as a nod to how people used to order their customs back in the 60's and 70's. Just look at that foxing!
Collaborations aplenty. Expect lots more of these from Vans JP. We struggle to keep up with them on the collab front.
Here are a few more shots from the lookbook that we thought were noteworthy. The fuzzy Slip Ons are certainly different. The Old Skool EZ are still a big stand out for us. We can't get enough of the jazz stripe and velcro straps.
Some of the shoes from the Vans Japan Fall/Winter '16 Lookbook are available now from ABC Mart in Japan. Stick with us for other release dates and models to come from Vans JP and others.
