Over the last few years, Japanese pop, or J-pop, music has breached the borders of the archipelago and taken the world by storm. Taking either the form of an animated figure projected on a screen before tens of thousands, or cute girls clad in schoolgirl attire playing a distinct form of Japanese alternative, the genre cannot be denied. For the last 10 years, one of those bands has been Scandal. And to celebrate 10 years of rocking stages around the globe, the foursome has partnered with Vans Japan on a commemorative Slip On JP.
The shoe is clad in an all black canvas upper with contrasting white stitching. Scandal's "S" lightning logo is printed on the vamp and a smaller logo adorns the heel counter. The classic white midsole is broken up by a black toe bumper and heel tab. Dual branded flag tags and insole finish off the pair. Each one will come packaged in specially designed Scandal boxes.
The Scandal x Vans Slip On JP will be available exclusively at ABC Mart in Japan on Saturday, August 6th.
