Vans and and Stüssy are both staples of American skate and streetwear culture. When you combine how long both brands have been around, you get nearly 90 years of influential design. The two have combined in the past, like the 2014 Vault collection, but for summer 2017, they have pulled out all the stops to hit us with a six-piece footwear collection dressed in warm hues.
The collections boasts two each of the OG Slip On LX, OG Old Skool LX, and OG Chukka LX. For the Slip Ons, we get light blue and white suede uppers. More the same on the Chukkas, however we get a pretty pink suede option instead of the white. The colors looks great on these, but there isn't much else happening.
The Old Skools are really the stand out pairs here. We get our pick of premium all white pigskin suede and 10 oz. drill canvas or, our personal favorite, the pink/white color blocking. This pair opts for pink pigskin on the vamp, eyestay, heel counter, and jazz stripe while the heavyweight canvas does the work on the sidewalls. This is a really great combination of colors and materials.
Additionally, all six pairs also have one of our most favorite design elements: black foxing stripes with "Stussy International" circumferential typography. Black co-branded heelpads and traditional checkerboard footbeds finish off the pairs nicely.
