After some teasing, we get full information of the OG Old Skool LX that is a product of 3 Southern California staples: Blends, Born Free, and, of course, Vans.
We are happy to bring to you all a special partnership we've been working on with the good folks at Born Free. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Born Free Show here in good ol' Southern California, it is a custom and classic motorcycle show that takes place in Oak Ranch in which motorcycle builders and enthusiasts can come together and talk about old iron. Globally known bike builders are invited from all across the globe to highlight their showpieces just for the event. We are also one of the companies sponsoring Born Free 8 and will be selling this special collaborative piece at our booth at Born Free 8. For admission and more information on this year's Born Free show head over to BornFreeShow.com to learn more.
The shoe itself has many design elements of note. An all black upper features canvas quarters and suede vamp, eyerows, and heel counters. In keeping with Blends' style of taking the iconic jazz stripe and making it their own, the stripe on this OG pair features red, white, and blue leather.
A white midsole breaks up the blocking and makes way for a clear outsole with checkerboard visible through the waffle. A tri-branded insole and black waxed laces finish this pair off very nicely.
The Blends x Born Free x Vans Vault OG Old Skool LX will be available this weekend at Born Free 8 on Saturday, June 25th, and online at Blendsus.com on Monday, June 27th, at 9AM PST.
