Way back when, Vans introduced the Prison Issue that opted for velcro instead of laces. The moniker comes from the type of laceless shoes issued to prisoners in some jurisdictions so the laces can't be used as improvised weapons. With a few exceptions, Vans took a break from issuing this model stateside for a while but it's been popular in Japan for some time now. For summer, Vans revisits this model with three colorways and the LX stylings that come with Vault.
Comprised of canvas and suede uppers, the Prison Issue LX is available in tonal black, grey, and white. The white and grey feature white midsoles and OG styled royal blue foxing stripe. They are both great compliments to the Era and Sk8 Hi they released alongside with.
The newest models of the Vans Vault Prison Issue LX are available now from Hot Rod LA. Check your local Vault retailer for availability.
