Back in the 80's, Vans introduced the Serio to their line. It was marketed as a runner and was intended to compete with the likes of Nike and Asics. The line also saw applications on skates and wrestling shoes. This seemed to overextend the brand a bit and the line was discontinued. Vans Japan reintroduced the line a couple years back and now it is a mainstay at ABC Marts. With the recent release (and sell out) of the similarly silhouetted TH Buffalo Trail LX from Vault, Vans has brought back the Serio to domestic markets with the OG Runner.
Being presented in 5 colorways, the OG Runner will feature suede and mesh blocking with white jazz stripes. All sit on top of a white foam midsole and gum ripple outsole. The midsole feature a blue stripe around the top which gives a nice OG feel to the pairs.
The OG Runner is available now on Vans.com for $85. Check your local shop for availability.
