Vans started as a company in California where you could bring your own fabric and then them made into shoes. That's why there are so many one-off pairs out there from decades ago. To that end, Vans has maintained the option to create custom models through their website. While you can no longer send in your own fabric for those hot one-offs, they have kept a healthy supply of prints and fabrics in the shop. Coming off the success of the limited edition Star Wars custom options, as well as the huge response from the Disney Young at Heart Collection, Vans will be offering custom Disney models next month.
We got a preview of what will be in store with these two Sk8 Hi models. It looks like there will be a Mickey and Pluto print and an all over Minnie print up for grabs. Choosing the limited edition Disney prints will add $5 to your custom order, but that's a modest hike to get something you had a hand in designing.
The Custom Disney Vans models are set to be available in the Vans.com custom shop on September 4th. The Sk8 Hi will run you $90. Keep it plugged in here for more detail as we get them.
